This is an 8-week virtual Zoom course. Classes are scheduled for Wednesdays @ 6pm, Mondays @ 6pm, & Saturdays @ 10am. You are required to attend all classes. One excused absence will be accepted with a scheduled make-up day; however, the second absence may warrant suspension from the program. Please be on time. After 15 minutes, you will not be allowed in class, and it will count as an absence.

Keep your camera on and your face visible on the camera at all times. Everyone is asked to engage in the discussion and to provide your participation and undivided attention. To receive credit for the class you will be given a pretest and a post test, so come prepared for class and be ready to take notes.

Respect everyone’s right to privacy and freedom of speech! This is a safe place, and we will not tolerate disrespect and the discard of others’ opinions. Please be just as courteous to others as you would in a physical classroom. We are here to learn from each other’s viewpoints and experiences, therefore what we discuss remains within the classroom.

Weekly journal entries and discussion board posts are a requirement of the certification. Online assignments can be completed on your mobile device, however, if you would like to rent a laptop and hotspot device, contact your local library for rental information. Journals can be picked up from the office, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
